10 Reasons To Visit The Sydney Home Show

Addbuild at the Sydney Home Show

It’s that time of year again, when all the latest, best information and ideas to help you improve and enjoy your home are gathered in one place.

If you haven’t been to The Sydney Home Show before, here’s the top 10 reasons we think you should visit 21-23 May, especially if you are considering a home improvement project:

1. Home Improvement Advice Under One Roof

There isn’t a shopping centre or precinct in Sydney where you would be able to talk to so many different trades and businesses related to home improvement in one go.

Exhibitors are there to answer your questions and give you advice so if you are researching your project, you’ll be able to really pin down what your best next steps are, whether that’s a new deck, a garden makeover or a full home renovation.

2. Daily Seminars

Want to go in depth about a particular topic?

There are a number of specialist seminars you can attend with a wide range of themes. All are free but note that seats are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Visit the Sydney Home Show Seminars schedule to see what’s on when.

3. See the Latest Technology

Whether it’s the latest recycled production materials, smart home automation, or the latest home entertainment electronics, The Home Show is a great place to see and try new innovations and technology.

See the full list of exhibitors. Be sure to use the category filters to zero in on the items you are most interested in.

4. It’s Entertaining

You’ll find a number of exhibitors demonstrating an array of homewares and products.

The demonstrators are energetic and larger than life, and the products showcased are often useful and time-saving, and…

5. Get Bargains

Often the products demoed are sold at a discount to their usual retail price.

Manufacturers take advantage of the volume they can shift at these events, so you can achieve some significant savings.

Do your research and you should come out well on top.

6. Giveaways and Prizes

It is a show after all, and as well as being able to snap up some bargains, there are plenty of show bags, giveaways and prizes.

You certainly won’t leave the show empty handed … so you might need a car to take away your haul!

Don’t worry, there are plenty of parking spaces in and around the ICC.

7. Entry is Free

Tickets are available for free, but we do suggest you make sure you secure them well beforehand.

The show happens over three days, from Friday 21 May to Sunday 23 May, 10am to 6pm, but your ticket is valid for any one of those three days. Grab your free tickets now.

8. It’s at the ICC

The International Convention Centre Sydney has been open for a few years now, but many people still haven’t visited, especially as many events were cancelled last year.

It’s a state-of-the-art facility, and there are plenty of cafes and food outlets that are newly established to cater for events there.

The whole Darling Harbour precinct has progressively been given a significant face-lift so if you haven’t been there recently, it’s well worth a visit.

9. It’s COVID safe

It should go without saying, but the organisers are taking all necessary precautions to ensure that this is a COVID safe event.
